Odd stamps : 08 Stamps with special cuts - 01 b

Round 2

When thinking of 'round', football , or soccer, is of course something that pops up your mind easily.
At least in Europe, Latin America and Africa it's without doubt the most popular sport.

Stamp collectors aren't always football fans, but there's a perfect match between the two hobbies.
Round stamps, and especially those on the topic of 'football'.
We are truly blessed to see so much football on television (sic.)£
Not only national competitions, but also UEFA and Champions League (in Europe) - or the world championship every 4 years.

In respect of that event, many stamps, coins were emitted already.
I chose some stamps that are related to football and of course, that are round too.

There's a lot more I'm sure of, but going through a world wide collection is not something you do in a lunchbreak.
As a teaser to this topic, two stamps a French and a German one, with the same design.

The only difference between the two stamps, is the order of the flags. Of course, on the german stamp, the german flag is placed centrally, on the french stamps, it's their tri-coloured flag. Both stamps are dated 2002.

Germany has issued another round 'football' stamp in 2000.
This to commemrate the 100th anniversary of the German Football Federation.

To be continued...
