This is my third post for 'fun' some nice wallpapers for coin collectors.
All images are - to my knowledge -  free.

Hope they are useful, more wallpapers will follow....

Odd stamps : 06 o Stamps on cotton / silk

When it comes to stamps on cotton, the alpine countries already have a history of special issues.
The following stamp of Liechtenstein looks very similar, but is not really a 'cotton' stamp.

The stamp of 6.30 Swiss Francs, issued in September 2020, depicts a green world map (Europe and North Africa) and 3 green leafs. The globe is surrounded by the text : Fürstentum Liechtenstein.
The idea of a 'greener' world however is not only in the image of the stamp, but more then ever in the stamp itself.
No less then 3100 PET bottles (polyethylene terephtalate) of 600 ml were used to proceed a 3000 km wire  (1860 miles), needed for the 40,000 issued stamps. For each stamp, 75 m (250 feet) of that wire was needed.  The total amount of the wire was enough to border the outer border of the country 40 times!

According Liechtenstein Postal services, the stamp can be used for sending mail or as a collectible, but can be used on clothes as as a personal statement of awareness that we need to recycle.

Odd stamps : 05 f Stamps in braille

For my 600th post, a special stamp.

This stamp, issued by the Sultanate of Oman, has issued a braille stamp in 2004.
The stamp has an embossed text in braille all over the stamp, but surely as special as the embossed printing, is the size of the stamp.

The sheetlet is 10.4 by 11.8 cm, and has a stamp of 8 by 9 cm (72 cm²)

This sheetlet was issued at the occasion of the white cane day (October 15). This is the international day for the awareness towards the blind and visually impaired people.

This day is been 'celebrated' since 1964. The special sheet issued by the Sultanate of Oman, is at the occasion of the 50th anniversary of this day.

Different to other braille stamps, the text in braille is only tangible on the front side of the stamp.
The elevated printing is the result of a thermographic proces, and not by embossed printing.
As a result, we see a shiny, raised effect, with yellowish dots.

Although the Sultanate of Oman is not collected by many people, this stamp is surely an nice addition to your collection of 'special' issues.

Odd stamps : 05 e Stamps in braille

It has been ages since I posted some stams on the theme 'braille'.
In 2019, Thailand issued a braille stamp, at the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the 'Foundation for the blind in Thailand'.

The stamp of 3 bath - relatively cheap - is issued with an embossed printing of braille text.

On the image we see two blind children, in front of the Miss Genevieve Caulfield monument,the founder of the first School for the Blind in Thailand and the Foundation for the Blind in Thailand, under the Royal Patronage of H.M.the Queen, including the vocational career development for the blind.

Genevieve Caulfield (May 8, 1888 – December 12, 1972) opened the Bangkok School for the Blind, partly financed by her own savings, after she learned that blind children were considered useless in Thailand. From 1956 to 1960, she organized a school for the blind and a rehabilitation center for boys in Saigon (Viet-Nam). There is a statue in her honor at the school in Bangkok which still exists today.

The stamp comes as usual, in a sheetlet of 10.

After posting some great wallpapers of banknotes, this post is to please the stamp collectors.

8      Errors

8.1     Errors when creating PDF:

Generating the Album ...

PDF generation error: Unable to write to file C:/Users/XXX/Documents/AlbumEasy/examples/Test Design 16.pdf.

Problem : a PDF with the same name is already open

Solution 1 : close the PDF with the same name

Solution 2 : give your design another name

8.2     Errors that prevent a script to be exectuted :

Error in line 54: Bad line continuation.

Problem : Page Text -command has an empty line

Solution 1 : omit empty lines in Page_text-command

Solution 2 :  close previous line with “ \ - start new line with “

Error in line 57: " ……. - Parameters require opening parenthesis.

Problem: programming line starts without any command

Solution : the “)” in the example above, closes the command, which was not necessary yet. Therfore, the rest of the command is neglected, as there is no “(“ to continue.
The “)” is not necessary on this spot, as it comes only at the end of the commandl

Error in line 58: PAGE_TEXT_CENTRE command - Parameters require closing parenthesis.

Problem : command line is wrongly terminated

Solution : “    \ should have been  “\

Error in line 59: PAGE_TEXT_CENTRE command - Quoted text expected.

The pm does not start with double straight quotes, (or there are too many double quotes).

Solution: re-write the text part as one continuing text.  Put \n where you want to start a new line. When no error occurs, you can split the tekst if you like.
Only if necessary for visual reasons, ,split the text part in your programming by adding a “\” between two lines in the programming code.
Each line should start with a black \ abd start with a blue “

The inserted image for a decorative corner is too large, and can’t be loaded.
Choose a smaller image. (less than 1 MB)
