The world of Mujand (fantasy notes) - 01 c Perish Island (Novarthica)

When you take a look on the map I posted earlier (introduction to the world of Mujand), you will see a small island in front of the east coast of Novarthica.
The island discovered in 1079 MT (Mujand time

Perish Island is a small island in the Tenebris ocean and belongs to Novarthica continent.
The currency is the "coral" and the notes are also called the water notes.
The notes are part of the E-series and are numbered 31 to 37 (7 notes)
One side of the notes depict the life above water (supra aquam), the back side of each note depicts the life below water (subter aqua).
Front side of the Perish Island Coral notes
back side of the Perish Island Coral notes
The nice idea behind these notes can be seen, when two notes of the same value are placed next to each other, then the faces become complete.
Perish Island 1 Coral
Perish Island 5 Corals
Perish Island 10 Corals
Perish Island 25 Corals
Perish Island 50 Corals
Perish Island 100 Corals
Perish Island 500 Corals
Not many hidden items on the notes here, but one remarkable thing can be found at the bottom of the 'water' side:
1 coral note - detail
In the corner we find strange marks, that are different on each of the 7 notes.
The stripes and triangles are in fact Babylonian coneiform numerals, and one of the earliest ways to write down number in a logical, decimal way.
The marks are the number of the issued note : 31 - 37 of the Mujand-set.
Finally, the notes are : "valid only while Perish Island remains above water", or they are "invalid while Perish Island remains below water".

The world of Mujand (fantasy notes) - 01 b Evshlohogi Islands (Novarthica)

Another territory on the Novarthica continent, is a group of Islands, called the Evshlohogi Islands.
It consists of 5 islands in the South East of the continent.

This set uses the Blissdale Naïve numbering system.
There are only Foduzi notes in the set (thus, 4 notes), and the design is very pleasing.
The currency is 'Dubre' and the notes are printed on polymere paper.
At the front, we see 4 rulers of the Evshlohogi Islands :
The Fetzia note (5) depicts Queen Esmi Arccrm, the Tetzia (10) note shows Princess Zia Arccrm, the Deutetfetzia (25) note has a portrait of Princess Iza Arccrm, and finally on the Fetetzia note (50), we see Princess Azi Arccrm.

The reverse side of the notes are a bit weird at first.
reverse side of 5 - Fetzi Dubre
But putting the 4 notes together, a beautiful design appears...
Similar to the Greek mythology, where Atlas is holding the sky vault (and not the Earth, as some people might think), a person is holding the Blissdane Naïve world.
On the 25 dubre-note, we see the head of 'Atlas' and the 5 Islands of Evshlohogi.
Reverse side of the 4 Evshlohogi notes
These notes are numbered as note 101 to 104 (4 notes).
The notes are only valid on the Evshlohogi Islands, not on Earth.

The world of Mujand (fantasy notes) - 01 a Mujand Republic part 2

On the reverse side of the Mujand - notes, we see the same design every time.
back of Mujand-notes
Some interesting items are indicated below:
back of Mujand-notes detail
At first, a 'general warning' is mentionned, that the note is for collection and admiration only. (1)
general information regarding collecting
Each note has in the top corner, the initials of the writer on the front. For the 5 Zilchy-note it's EAP (Edgar Allen Poe). (2)
(3) For each note, there is a new number. As there are diffent numbers on the notes that I will present later, I presume they indicate the number of the issued note in general.
This series goes from 001 to 009.

Finally (4) each denomination has a value in 4 digits, the 4 th/last (is large) the 3rd/second last is smaller, the 2nd is smaler then the previous one, and the first is the smallest.
4 different values in numbers
This set is called the A-series (banknotes 1 to 9)

The world of Mujand (fantasy notes) - 01 a Mujand Republic (Novartica) part 1

We start in the North West, with the first continent : Novartica.
Novartica on Mujand Naïve
The largest territory on the Novartica continent, is the Mujand Republic.
Mujand repubic on Novartica
"On Blissdane Naïve’s rich surface the Mujand Republic is the planet's economic and political power. It is the undeclared empire of the planet and is the frequent target of vicious verbal slings and arrows but is always there to save other countries from economic or political brinks of calamity."

The bank of Zilchy issued a set of 9 notes, in honour of Early American Writers.
The denominations are 5, 10, 25, 50, 100, 200, 500, 1000 and 5000 Zilchy.
This series of notes were issued in 2013.

We see in order : Edgar Allan Poe (5); Henry David Thoreau (10); Nathaniel Hawthorne (25);

The world of Mujand (fantasy notes) - 00 b Introduction

After introducing the fantasy notes of the Mujand solar system notes, I started to wonder how many territories there were on Blissdane Naïve.

The map of Blissdane Naïve is rather small and I did my best to make a listing of all countries, territories and islands on the map.

Any additional info is welcome.
In the following sets of articles, I will introduce the notes that were issued:

The world of Mujand (fantasy notes) - 00 a Introduction

In the following series of articles, I will lead you to the fantastic / fantasy world of Mujand.
Mujand is the sun of a 9-planet solar system. Only one planet, Blissdane Naive is inhabited.

"It's a world where the fantastic is common and time has become yesterday, today and tomorrow... all at once.
What may appear true today, changes within years, months, days, or hours. No one is sure. A time anomaly has hit Blissdane Naive and no one was aware or prepared until the past, present and future became in doubt. It's a mystery yet to be solved."
The planet Blissdane Naive, has 5 continents, starting from NW, clockwise to NE, SE ending SW:
Novarthica, Lothandizia, Kolmalia, Ervessia and Asmatu.
Each continent has several countries, and of course, each country or territory has it's own banknotes.
And that's what it's all about, isn't it.

Blissdane Naive has only one language, which makes it easier to navigate through the banknotes of each country or territory.
Luckily for us, the numbers used on the notes are arabic (Earth) numbers.

Theme : Zodiac signs 19

Liechtenstein, the small nation squeezed in between Switzerland and Austria, has a rich history of high quality stamps.
Especially in Europe, lots of collectors (used to) collect Liechtenstein as an addition to their own country, as the stamps were interesting, and highly in demand.
Nowadays Liechtenstein is not that 'hot' anymore, but still worth collecting.

This post, is a joined issue of 1976, 1977 and 1978.
In each year, 4 stamps were emitted, from a set of 12 zodiac signs.
12 zodiac signs, issued in 1976-1978
Each stamp had a different face value, but some values (like 80 cents) were used twice.
The design is very colourful and artistic, and depics the western zodiac signs.
Often, Liechtenstein emits engraved stamps, unfortunately these sets were not engraved, but still they are among my favourite zodiac signs.

0-euro notes : 2 a. Finland

What a better way to post my first 0-euro note, with Santa.

Santa, or Santa Claus who is apprearing in December, is a mixture of many old customs.
In the low countries, (Belgium and the Netherlands), Saint Nicolas comes in the night of his name day (Dec. 6), with gifts for the good children.
The legend of the Turkish bisshop of Myra (280 - 342 or 352 A.D.) who died on Dec. 6, tells the story of a man who was good to people in general and specificly to children.
Nicolas of Myra (280-342(352))
One legend tells that he resurected 3 students, who were killed by a innkeeper, who had the 3 bodies hidden in a barrel with brine.
A similar story exists in France, where a bucher who killed 3 children. Saint Nicolas saved them and brought them back to their parents...

Another legend, tells the story of a poor man who had no change of giving away his 3 daughters for marriage, as he could not afford the drowry. However the man (and his daughters) were saved from poverty, as 3 times, golden coins flew through the open window into the shoes of the girls...
Saint Nicolas (Sinterklaas)
Until today, children put their shoes (or socks) so that Santa can fill them with toys and chocolate coins.

The stories of Saint Nicolas entered the Americas by the Dutch colonists in the early 19th century. They were mixed up with anglosaxian stories of Father Christmas, and resulted in a 'modern' version of the two customs.
Probably is the Russian 'Father Frost' also part of the new Santa.
"Ded Moroz" lives in the cold northern Russia, and brings gifts to the people on December 31.
Ded Moroz
In 1931, the American drafstman Haddon Sundblom, made some drawings of Santa for the Coca Cola company. He gave Santa his current, 'modern' look.
Finland emitted in 2018 two notes: Santa Claus' Main Post Office - Artic Circle 66°33'07"N.
The first note (2018-1) shows Santa enjoying his hot tea (or Glühwein).
0 euro Finland - Santa Claus' Main Post Office
This note exists in 10,000 copies and was reprinted in 2019 (LEAH (6) /2019-1 in 5,000 copies.

At the back of the note, we see design C (with European buildings - Belèm Tower)

0-euro notes : 1 b. Belgium : comics

Belgium is known for food and drinks,
Belgium owns the world record of the country with the longest period without government (541 days after the elections or 589 days after the previous goverment fell.

And... it's the country known for it's imaginary people and surrealistic images.

Magritte's paintings, a peeing boy as one of the national symbols, Jean-Claude Van Damme or the muscles from Brussels (who isnt from Damme, nor from Brussels actually), Agata Christy's detective character : Hercules Poirot, Hergé's Tintin, the smurfs, Lucky Luke,....

Comic books are part of the national culture, and if you end up as a comic book character, you've made it in life in Belgium.
railway station Antwerp (Belgium)
In 2017, part of the magnificent railway station of Antwerp, opened an interactive museum with some of the most popular childrens' comic book characters, (Jommeke, Suske&Wiske, the smurfs, Lucky Luke, Urbanus, and the Kiekeboe family).
